It has come as a bit of a shock that several ATF's have been stuck off for late payment ( ATF fees ) and have been told that they must now do the 60 hrs training and take there AWCF so that they may be reinstated.
The problem they now have is that there apprentice should not be working for them as they are no longer an ATF.
Letters have been circulating so come are reps it's your job to keep the craft in the loop, let us know everything or should I be doing it for you.
csc your challenge is to tells us what going on because every farrier/ATF should be told the truth so the FRC can't go moving the goal posts once again.
As Brigadier David Greenwood (registrar) so aptly put it IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE.
ATF's stuck off.

Re: ATF's stuck off.
sorry me old mucker already sent this off the council and everyone last friday
Dear All
The FRC have been frustrated for some time now for retention fee repayment failures and this has been discussed at council.
Through this action described the registrar has full right to implement these actions .
As long as he can prove .
1 . he has a mandate to do so.
2. he has given full notice and warnings of the consequences.
Failure in any of these could bring legal actions against council.
Therefore the first question I have to ask is where in the minutes has council agreed to this action is to be taken by the registrar.
As a council member I am concerned about the un democratic actions taken on behalf of council In this corrupt nature .
Hoping that the corruption of the past was put to bed so to speak it seem evidently that the bullying and overriding, manipulating of council is still a practice
I therefore would ask the chairman to intervene or resign .

All.
As I said in my election address I will be supporting the efforts of FRC councillors S Craig, Craig Darcy and Paul to get TRUE democratic out comes at FRC, totally reflective minutes its and a fully accountability FRC!! And the FRC staff. Now it seems councillor Kevin Willard now fully accords!! (as is reported by an FRC member).
I take EW's point that as CRAFT elected members on FRC we are obliged to do so and what is more to keep CRAFT aware and fully involved of what is happening. I cite that it was necessary to get a leaked EMAIL to learn that maybe as many 12 -ATFs and maybe twenty APPRENTICES have had their EMPLOYER/EMPLOYEE-status withdrawn by what is reported an a UNILATERL action of the FRC Registrar. That is seemingly without even a formal dislinary hearing??
Anybody have anything to add.
UKHSA has a charged Fund should any one so affected need to initial seek initial legal advice from a specialist Farriery aware advocat.
my effort efforts in this regard as above.
Anyone else please.
PNB.

csc,
Not a change of mind, but change of rules once more they are always moving the goal posts simply because they don't work within the rules in the first place.
csc you should now write to the skills funding agency as regards this terrible wrong doing to the ATF's in question.
The ATF's should now come together and seek compensation as regards loos of earrings/and stress that has been caused to them by the FRC.
Them words (ignorance is no excuse) will haunt someone I sure of that you should now move for a vote of no confidence,
Heads must surely roll.

Re: ATF's stuck off.
I cannot believe what I am reading here , the new registrar made descision , then backtracks without any sort of recourse ? I still cannot believe a retired man on a 50K+ per year pension which my taxes go to pay , then becomes an overpaid registrar which my registration fee helps to pay makes a wrong descision which could have seriously affected several businesses and their employees and nothing has been made public about it .
I will ask again what is the salary been paid to this overvalued part time position which seems to be consistently abused by ex officers

Hi Ferrador,
You are correct, the mans position is now untenable and must surely tender his resignation as regards his post.
How on earth can anyone take FRC seriously when cowboy decisions are used to bully farriers.
FRC past record as regards NFTA and there failings to co run that training system correctly came to a head. The colleges has now taken charge of training and if you didn't no better you would be wondering if this was to disrupt the colleges, what has gone on here is shocking the general public and farriers alike have no faith in then.

Re: ATF's stuck off.
do the frc staff have to abide by frc professional standards ? are they subject to the same disciplinary actions ? will their cockup ever become public knowledge via local media , magazines , facebook twitter etc ? will they put it in the bulletin or their website ? their service is piss poor , their website out of date , the whole thing is a joke , how many times can an apprentice retake the dip exam nowadays and who foots the bill ?
