Yesterday I attended a seminar at Handmade Shoes UK Ltd to listen and learn from clinician Craig Trnka from USA. Asked from a farrier in the audience what Craig's opinion was on the subject of the Bare Foot Trimming brigade in the USA and in this country, his reply was: The ultimate of good farriery/shoeing is perfect foot preparation to the conditions and conformation of the horse you are working on, this is what we as farriers do everyday. When I see a Bare Foot Trimmer Bare Foot then I may start to take notice.
